Example of Lesson Plan for Reading and Writing (Cooking)

 I.            Competence standard
1.     Understanding the meaning of short functional text and simple essay text in form of recount text, narrative text and procedure text in daily context and to access the knowledge.

    II.       Basic Competence
1.1.Responding of meaning contained in short functional text (like: announcement, advertisement, invitation, etc.) official and unofficial context accurately, fluently and acceptable in daily context and to access the knowledge.

1.2.Responding of meaning and rhetorical steps to writing essay text accurately, fluently and acceptable in daily context and to access knowledge in form of text: recount text, narrative text and procedure text.
 III.       Indicators
1.       Students understand about procedure text.
2.       Students can mention what aspects and functions that consist in procedure text.
3.      Students understand an example of procedure text.
4.      Students should be able to make a simple procedure text.

IV.            Teaching-Learning Methods

V.            Teaching and Learning Activities
1.       Teacher explains about outline of the lesson.
2.       Teacher reviews the material in the previous meeting.
3.       Teacher shows video about cooking from www.youtube.com.
4.       Teacher gives explanation about procedure text using Prezi desktop.
5.      Teacher divides students into several group based on their hometown (e.g : West Java, East Java, North Sumatera, Papua, etc.)
6.      Each group has to make their own procedure text like recipe book, and make it in form of e-book (using www.flipsnack.com)
7.      After it finishes, they have to share their link of the recipe book on their own facebook, twitter or blog.
8.      Teacher and other students have to comment other groups’ work.
